5 reasons to reject a job offer

Today, an average job search takes from 3 to 6 months. In some cases, the employment process is delayed up to 10 months or more. With such an introduction, it’s stupid to refuse an employer's offer, right? Not at all. And we found as many as 5 reasons why.

Work do not like
I agree to the offer because I really want this job? Ask this question every time before leaving a response to a vacancy. Especially if this is the very beginning of the search.

Going to work to wait out time, close a gap in seniority and so on is a bad strategy. Such behavior can put an end to professional reputation.

Reputation
Before you enter into a working relationship with the company, you need to check the possible risks. To do this, you need to carefully study the employer's reputation in the information field - in other words, google reviews of former employees, view social networks, check black lists.

Pay special attention to the staff turnover - if a company places the same vacancies for a long time, there are definitely some problems.

Corporate culture
It is not only the style of clothing and traditions adopted within the company. Talk with a possible employer about the processes and style of interaction. Observe the atmosphere in the team.

Despite the obvious pluses of work such as a good position and a big company name, sometimes an employee cannot be fully realized only because of an uncomfortable or inappropriate working environment.

Prospects
A start-up or a company losing ground in the market is a serious reason to think. In both cases, a high chance to lose time and be left without a salary.

Try to study the situation - if the price of the company and popularity are growing, the employer is ready to take financial obligations to employees in case of failure, the business has been successfully operating for many years - there is no reason to worry.

No growth
Who do I see myself in 10 years? In terms of career, of course. The recruiter will still ask this question at the first meeting. What other questions should be expected at the interview - read here.

Make sure your plans match those of your company. If the employer offers a limited choice of career prospects, it is better to leave immediately and not waste time.

Feel free to ask the recruiter questions - the more you learn about the employer at the dating stage, the easier it is to make an informed decision. If you don’t know what to ask and how to have a conversation at the interview, read this article.
